Email Scams

Just got this in my email. It’s a new version of the Prince of country X scam that has been going around for years.

One of main tip offs that this is a scam, is because of the way it reads. The word usage is wrong for someone who speaks English as their primary language.

Also at the end is the call to action. As if this your last chance to act. May scammers will use a call to action to get you to click on a malicious link.

Dear Freind,
Complements to you and your love ones

I hope my email will arrive to you at good time.
My name is Dr. Ali H Mahmud from Damascus Syria. I am retired personal investor & financial consultant advisers to a top Politician here in SYRIA.
I contacted you to tell me more about your country and how good it will be to invest in your country. Such as buying of properties, or real estate and some tourist places or any profitable investment venture that will yield good profit.

I will appreciate whatever result you may brief me. Please do let me know your idea and knowledge regarding this or any other profitable investment venture you may suggest. I have the total of US$ 11,000,500.51 that I deposited in South east Great Britain and I am willing to order the transfer of the money to you for investment if you’re interested with my proposal.

In my next mail I will explain the full details of the project and interest, and then we reach an agreement on what will be your share from the money or the investment.

I shall tell you more about myself when I read from you and you may as well tell me little more about yourself when replying.

Waiting for your prompt response.

All the Best,
Dr. Ali H Mahmud

iPhone move mulTiple Apps at once

Have you ever find yourself wanting to organize the apps on your Home screen of your iPhone, you surely realized that moving a bunch of icons around one by one gets old fast. With iOS 11, you can move multiple icons at once: first, enter iOS’s jiggle mode by tapping and holding on an icon. Next, move the icon just ever so slightly so that the “x” in its top-left corner vanishes. You can now tap other app icons to add them to your selection before moving the bundle to a new position.
